He was a son of William Walsh Sr. and Mrs. Catherine Murphy Walsh. A Norfolk native he was a lifelong resident of this area. He formerly worked in the city electrician's office. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Norfolk Council 367, Knights of Columbus and held the 4th degree. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Katherine W. Callahan and a brother, Michael Joseph Walsh Sr., both of Norfolk and nieces and nephew. The Rosary will be said in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, tonight at 8:30. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Painter Street and Newport Avenue, Wednesday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. ************************************************************************* WALSH, GEORGE VINCENT — In a local hospital, Monday, GEORGE VINCENT WALSH, son of the late William Walsh, Sr., and Mrs. Catherine Murphy Walsh, in the 74th year of his age.
