Virginian Pilot August 4, 1982

Nancy Gerloff Walsh, 80, of 3612 Amherst St., died Tuesday in a hospital.
She was a native of Woodhaven, N.Y. and the widow of Matty F. Walsh. She was a 
member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Chesapeake.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary W. Evans and Sharon W. Casey, both of 
Virginia Beach and Carol W. Heath of Sandston; two sons, Matthew F. Walsh Jr. of 
Chesapeake and Edward S. Walsh of Norfolk; two sisters, Maude Gilbert of Norfolk 
and Edna G. Overton of Newport News; 18 grandchildren; and two great-
grandchildren.
A mass will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic 
Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, with H.D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments, Norfolk, in charge.
A Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home.

WALSH, MRS. NANCY GERLOFF. In a Virginia Beach hospital, Tuesday, MRS. NANCY 
GERLOFF WALSH, widow of Matty F. Walsh and daughter of the late Charles W. and 
Mrs. Mary Buckley Gerloff, in the 80th year of her age. A funeral mass will be 
held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. 
Burial, St. Mary’s Cemetery. H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, has charge.
