Walsh, a native of Norfolk, was the husband of Mrs. Mary Kelly Walsh. He long had charge of playgrounds in the various sports and other events at the park. He played football, basketball and baseball in his earlier years. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Edwin E. Holm of Richmond; a son, Michael J. Walsh Jr. and a sister, Mrs. Katharine W. Callahan, both of Norfolk; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. The Rosary will be said tonight at 7:30 in H.D.
