Ledger-Star August 19, 1907
Benjamin F. Walters died Saturday night at the home of his son-in law, William 
Carr, No. 833 Tunstall avenue, aged 70 years. The deceased was a well-known and 
highly esteemed citizen; was formerly in the wholesale peanut business. He was a 
member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, 
Mrs. B. R. Jones and Mrs. William Carr, both of this city, and two sons, Messrs. 
B. F. Walters, Jr., of New York city, and Howard Walters, of California. The 
funeral occurs from his late residence this afternoon.
