Virginian Pilot May 29, 1959

Mrs. Mary B. Walters, 96, widow of Theodore Hardy Walters died Thursday at 6:30 
p.m. at a Norfolk hospital. She resided at 6103 Studeley Ave.
A native of Norfolk she was the daughter of Lt. Charles Llewellyn Beale of the 
Confederate States Army and Mrs. Mary Williamson Beale of New York City.
She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Surviving are two sons, Theodore A. Walters of Kingston, Pa. and Hardy Walters 
of Norfolk, two daughters, Mrs. E.A. Stroud of Kingston and Mrs. Georgie Reed 
Bonney of Norfolk, 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren and two great-
great-grandchildren.
The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Blessed 
Sacrament Church for funeral services Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. 
Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services are slated at the funeral apartments today at 
7:30 p.m.

MARY LEE WALTERS, widow of Theodore Hardy Walters, Sr., and daughter of the late 
Lt. Charles Llewellyn and Mary Williamson Beale, in the 97th year of her age. 
Remains will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial 
Avenue, to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for services THIS (Saturday) 
MORNING at 10 o’clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment, 
St. Mary’s Cemetery.
