Virginian-Pilot, March 20, 1957
NORFOLK - Mrs. Sarah Walters, 66, wife of Samuel Walters and daughter of the 
late Mandel and Mrs. Esther Kerchenstein, a native of Warsaw, Poland, and a 
resident of Norfolk for the past year, died at the residence, 1713 DeBree Ave. ye
yesterday at 6 p.m. She was a member of the United Orthodox Synagogue.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Miss Rose Walters of New Y
York; three sons, Arthur Walters of Norfolk and Herman and Ernest Walters of N
New York; four grandchildren and one brother, Harry Stein of Los Angeles, CA.
Funeral services will be conducted at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts today at 2 
p.m. by Rabbi Joseph Schecter of the United Orthodox Synagogue. Burial will be 
in Khal Chasedim (B'Nai Israel) Cemetery.
