Norfolk Virginian Pilot December 27, 1942
Mrs. Vera Pyle Walters, 63, wife of Joseph H. Walters, died at a local hospital 
yesterday morning at 5 o'clock after a long illness.  She was a native of James 
City County but had been a resident of Norfolk for over 40 years.
The body was taken to the funeral chapel of James V. Derry, 1920 Colley avenue, 
where funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock.  The Rev. 
L.O. Smart, pastor of the LeKies Methodist Church, will officiate.  Burial will be 
in Elmwood Cemetery.
