Mrs. Bessie Kate Walton, aged 27, wife of Oscar L. Walton, died at 3:10 o'clock 
yesterday morning at her residence, 1203 Brambleton avenue. She was a native of 
Wilmington, N.C., and had been a resident of Norfolk for two years. Besides her 
husband, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Lula Williams, of Newport News; four 
children, Eleanor, Catherine, Fannie and Oscar L. Walton, Jr.; one brother, B. J. 
Cottle, of Atlanta; two sisters, Mrs. W. J. Antinori, of Newport News, and Mrs. R. 
M. Walton, of Jacksonville, N.C. The body will be taken from H. D. Oliver’s 
funeral apartments, 610-12 East Freemason street, to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 
for services this morning at 10 o’clock. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
