Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Saturday, June 3, 1995 
Hillary Walton Jr., 88, of Pinewood Inn Retirement Residence, 1516 Harmon St.,
died May 30, 1995, in DePaul Medical Center.

Mr. Walton was born in Norfolk. He was a retired custodian with C&P Telephone
Co. after 37 years and had been retired for more than 26 years. He was a
lifetime member of First Calvary Baptist Church, Norfolk, where he was a deacon
for more than 32 years and an advisor to the nurses unit until 1991. He was a
member of Enoch Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Delores A. Holley of Jersey City, N.J., and
Audrey W. Mills of Virginia Beach; a brother, Mr. Percy Walton of Indianapolis,
Ind.; a very special niece, Marilyn Walton of Norfolk; nine grandchildren; 11
great-grandchildren; a host of other nieces, nephews and friends; and a
sister-in-law, Mrs. Sadie W. Walton.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday at Enoch Baptist Church, 7100 Clayton
Drive, Norfolk, by the Rev. Michael G. Daniels. Burial will be in Calvary
Cemetery . Arrangements by Hale Funeral Home. Family and friends will assemble
at the home of the daughter, Mrs. Audrey W. Mills, 5912 Tajo Ave., Virginia
Beach, at 11 a.m. Monday for the procession to the church. The remains will be
placed in the church at 10 a.m. Monday.
