Va., early in September. Miss Ward was one of the old school of Norfolk citizens. She was highly intellectual and had traveled much in the old world. She was a conversationalist of rare charm and was a prominent member of the Woman's Club. She was the daughter of the late William and Priscilla Ward and a sister of the late Dr. Thomas Bryson Ward and the late Colonel William Henry Ward. She is survived by her sister, Miss Julia R. Ward and by her nieces, Mrs. F. L. Sandoz of Washington, D.C.; Mrs. Emily R. Beachan of Baltimore, Md.; and Mrs. Hugh M. Massey and Misses Julia and Emily B. Smith, of Norfolk. She is also survived by Herman G. Smith and Louis R. Smith of Atlanta, Ga., and Henry Ward, of Norfolk. The funeral service will take place at 10 o'clock this morning at the Sacred Heart Church.
