She was formerly employed in local concert halls as a song and dance artist. Some weeks ago the police raided a house in an objectionable quarter of the city and the Warde woman was among those arrested. On her arraignment in police court, she, with the others, was committed to prison. After her incarceration, she grew seriously ill and was removed to the hospital quarters of the city jail. Her condition was hopeless from the beginning and she realized that she had only a short time to live. The Rev. Father Walsh administered to her spiritual wants, the minister being by her bedside when she died. Friends of the dead girl took charge of the remains, which they had removed to an undertaking establishment for preparation for interment.
