Norfolk - Mrs. Alice Ward of 2428 Ruffin St., the wife of Richard H. Ward and a
native of Norfolk, died Tuesday in a hospital.

She was an employee of the dietary department of the Public Health Department
for 20 years and retired. She was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Raymond H. Ward of Canada; and two sisters, Misses
Lillian Newman and Anna Newman of Norfolk.

A funeral will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in New Calvary Baptist Church by the
Rev. Milton A. Reid. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Graves Funeral Home
in charge. The body will be in church at 10 a.m. Saturday. The family will leave
from her home.
