Portsmouth-Carl Homer Ward, 78, of 3705 Townpoint Road died Sunday in a 
hospital.
A native of Norfolk County, he was the husband of the late Mrs. Linda Wright 
Ward and a son of Edward D. and Mrs. Willie E. Ward.
He was a retired farmer and a member of West Norfolk Methodist Church.
He is survived by three cousins, Mrs. Bessie Bell and Lee Salmons of Virginia 
Beach, and J. Frank Smith of Norfolk; and an uncle, Jim Ward of Knotts Island, 
N.C.
A funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Snelling Funeral Home 
by the Rev. Harry W. Craver with burial in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk.
