Caroline Belle Warden, 80, of the 1300 block of 22nd St., went to be with the 
Lord Dec. 19, 2007, in Chesapeake. Born in Old Norfolk County, she was the 
daughter of the late Paul M. Warden and Caroline H. Warden. She was a member of 
Chesapeake Avenue United Methodist Church. Survivors include the Hoffstaetter 
cousins, Harold, Faith W., Helen, Bobby, George, Jean, John, Daniel, Gary, 
Faith E., Rose, Zachary, Albert Bonney, Delwyn Hutto and L.A. DeFord, as well 
as extended family. A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in 
Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk. Dr. Louis A. Martin will officiate. There will be no 
viewing or visitation. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the 
Francis Gay Chapel of Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, Chesapeake. In lieu of 
flowers, memorial donations may be made to the South Norfolk Public Library.
