Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark May 1, 1914
Mrs. Mary C. Warren, widow of James E. Warren, died Wednesday night at the family 
residence, 124 Colley avenue, after an illness of five months.  She was 70 years 
old.  Mrs. Warren was a native of Virginia, had lived in Norfolk during the past 
45 years and was well known and esteemed. She is survived by one son, John E. 
Dyer; two grandchildren, William H. Dyer and Miss Catherine E. Dyer; a brother, 
John N. Ewell and a sister, Mrs. Laura C. Marca, all of Norfolk.  She was a member 
of St. Luke's Episcopal church.
The funeral will be held at 3 o'clock this afternoon at Smith's funeral 
apartments, 306 Bank street.  Services will be conducted by Rev. E.P. Miner.  
Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery.
