Norfolk Journal and Guide, Oct 24, 1942

Funeral services for Booker T. Washington, 70, who died at a local hospital 
October 14, were held October 16, at Hale’s Chapel.  The Rev. R. D. K. Garrett 
officiated.  Mr. Washington leaves no surviving relatives.  Burial was in 
Betty Jones Cemetery.

Note: per death certificate and cemetery book, burial was in Calvary Cemetery, 
Section 19, Lot 20.
