NORFOLK - Mrs. Julia J. Washington of 2408 Myrtle Ave. died Friday in Norfolk 
Community Hospital.

A native of Lexington, she was a daughter of Richard and Mrs. Margaret Clarke 
Jones and the widow of Francis D. Washington. She was a member of Grace 
Episcopal Church.

She is survived by a son, Francis D. Washington Jr. of Washington; a daughter, 
Mrs. Gladys Oberby of Norfolk; and a brother, Richard Reid of Richmond.

A funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in Grace Episcopal Church by the 
Rev. Joseph N. Green. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Riddick Funeral 
Service in charge.
