NORFOLK - Marie Elizabeth Washington of 3752 Wedgefield Ave., a native of 
Mathews County and the wife of James H. Washington, died Friday in a hospital.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Lamberts Point.

Other survivors include a daughter, Dorothy W. Washington, and a son, Angelo C. 
Washington, both of Norfolk; and two grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church, 
Lamberts Point, by the Rev. M.L. Williams. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, 
with Hale Funeral Home in charge. The body will be placed in the church at 11 
a.m. Wednesday. The family will be at her home.
