The Virginian-Pilot/The Ledger Star, Sunday, April 22, 1979

NORFOLK - Mrs. Mary B. Washington of 2321 Cary St., a native of Ahoskie, N.C., 
and the widow of John Calvin Washington, died Saturday in her home.

She was a retired domestic employe and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Mitchell; and a son, John Herman 
Washington of Norfolk; a grandchild; four great-grandchildren; and a number of 
nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are pending at graves Funeral Home. The family will be at her home.

Additional Comments:

NORFOLK - A funeral for Mrs. Mary B. Washington of 2321 Cart St. will be held 
Thursday at 1 p.m. in Bethlehem Baptist Church by the Rev. L.P. Watson. Burial 
will be in Calvary Cemetery with Graves Funeral Home in charge. The family will 
assemble at her home.
