Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, November 21, 1996 
George ``Bubba'' Washington Sr., of the 1300 block of Southview Drive, died Nov.
15, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.

Born in Florence, S.C., he was a retired limousine driver.

Survivors include two sons, George Washington Jr. and Thomas Wilson; a sister,
Evelma Gainey; a brother, Alfred E. James; a granddaughter, Tequoia Smith;
nieces and nephews, Barry L. Gary, Florett Griffin, Valarie Gary, Delvin Gary,
Melvin Gary; and other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in Enoch Baptist Church by Dr.
Michael G. Daniels. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends may join the
family at 905 Lexington St. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
