Washington, 56, of the 6200 block of Chesapeake Blvd., entered into eternal rest Tuesday, March 6, 2001. He was a native of Norfolk, born to the late Charlie and Minerva Riddick Washington. He was the founder and organizer for ``Advocates For Second Chances.'' He is survived by his daughter, Trena M. Washington of Norfolk; his fiancee, Carrie Taylor of Norfolk; four sisters, Francis Pinkney of Philadelphia, Edna Thigpen of Norfolk, Maxine Altson of Norfolk, and Margaret Skinner and husband John of Virginia Beach; three brothers, Frank Washington, Alinda Washington and Nathaniel Washington and his wife Elaine, all of Norfolk; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also predeceased by a brother, Wallace Washington, formerly of Norfolk. A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday at New Macedonia United Church of Christ, 1426 Marshall Ave., where Pastor Alfred A.D. White will be presiding. A viewing will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Riddick Funeral Service, where the family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. At other times, the family will receive friends at 815 Goff St., Apartment 11. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery .
