Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, February 14, 1997 
Geraldine Wilson Washington, 91, of the 500 block of W. 38th St., died
peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 12, 1997, in Norfolk Community Hospital.

She was retired from the Army Corps of Engineers with 33 years service, a native
of Cape Charles and the daughter of Charlie and Lola Wilson. She was also a
member of Jerusalem Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Arthur T. Johnson and his wife, Marion Ruth Johnson
of Norfolk; sister, Nora Bailey of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Arthur Gregg
Johnson, Michael Johnson and Dwight R. Johnson, Kevin J. Johnson and Michele
Johnson-Logan; six great-grandsons; a great-granddaughter; a
great-great-granddaughter; and a niece, Lola Beckett.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Jerusalem Baptist Church. Burial
will be in Calvary Cemetery . Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today in Riddick
Funeral Service. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Saturday. The
family will receive friends in the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m. today.
