Charlie Washington, 1101 E. Little Creek road, died at his residence January 12.
He was a native of Charles City, VA., but had lived in Norfolk for over 60
years. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Washington. He was the owner
of a confectionary store.

Final rites will be conducted January 19 at 1:30 p.m. at the New Mt. Zion
Methodist AME Church with Rev. H. L. Camper, pastor, officiating.

He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Annette Scott of New York; four nieces and
two nephews. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Graves Funeral Home in charge.
