Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, December 27, 1998 
Thomas R. ``T.W.'' Washington of the 2900 block of Victoria Ave., died Dec. 21,
1998, in a local hospital.

Born in Norfolk, he retired from solid waste management with the City of
Norfolk. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn W. Brehon and Jean W. Johnson, both of
Norfolk; a son-in-law, Paul E. Johnson Sr.; five grandchildren, Janice M.
Johnson of Annadale, Va., Paul E. Johnson Jr. of Chesapeake, Craig A. Brehon of
Hampton, Michael P. Johnson and Darryl L. Brehon, both of Norfolk; three
great-grandchildren, Chase, Cameron, and Caysi Johnson, all of Chesapeake;
special relatives, Cynthia J. Todd and Benjamin Johnson; a good friend, Vanessa
Cason Collins; Lawren L. Collins; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Graves Funeral Chapel by Bishop
Johnnie L. Reid. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends may join the
family at the residence.
