Washington, 200 Filbert street, Bolling Brook, who died April 22, were held April 26 from the First Baptist Church, Bolling Brook, with the Rev. T. A. White officiating. Mr. Washington was a first class baker, and specialized in baking unique designs of wedding and birthday cakes. He surprised the Journal and Guide with the presentation of a huge cake modeled after the Holy Bible upon the celebration of the birthday of the Negro press in 1944. Mr. Washington is survived by his widow, Mrs. Vivian B. Washington; his parents, one son, one brother, and one sister. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery with Hale Funeral Home in charge.
