Chesapeake - Paul Wassel, 86, died on February 12, 2013. He was the predeceased by 
his wife, Mary Elizabeth Wassel. Paul is survived by his brother, Theodore Wassel; 
two nieces, Lori Shumate and Mary Elizabeth Leitman; nephew, Teddy Wassel, Jr.; 
and close friend of 45 years, Joe Ibarra. A visitation will be held on Thursday, 
Feb. 14th from 7pm to 8pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Southside Chapel. A Mass of 
Christian Burial will be conducted at St. Matthews Catholic Church, 3314 Sandra 
Lane, VA. Beach on Friday, Feb. 15th at 10am with a reception to follow in the 
church. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. 
Matthews Church. Altmeyer Funeral Home 5792 Greenwich Rd. Va. Beach is in charge 
of the arrangements. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.altmeyer.com
