The funeral of John A. Waters, 2524 Masi Street, who died Saturday, May 13, in New 
York was held from Hale’s Chapel Thursday, May 18, with the Rev. Robert Alson 
officiating. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter B. Waters, who besides a wife, 
sister, brother and two children, survive. He was a native of Norfolk but had 
lived in New York for the past seven years. He held membership in the Democratic 
Club of that city as well as being prominent in other civic affairs.
