The Virginian Pilot Thursday June 1, 1961
Mrs. Mary Watkins of 870 C Ave. died Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in a Norfolk 
nursing home after a short illness.
 She was a daughter of the late Jake and Mrs. Sophie Wells and the widow of 
Thomas Watkins. A native of Como, N.C., she lived in Norfolk more than 40 years 
and was a member of the House of Prayer for All People on Church Street.
 She has no close survivors.
 The body was taken to Hale Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held 
Sunday at 1:30 p.m., with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
