The Rev. E. Paul Simms, First Baptist pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in West Point Cemetery under direction of Citizens Funeral Home. Foster daughter of the late Mack Manning and Mrs. Susie Manning, the deceased was a native of Norfolk. She was employed as a practical Nurse at Shore Drive Convalescent Home. Mrs. Watkins was a member of First Baptist Church and its Dorcas and Helpers clubs. She also held membership in the Elks No. 1-A Temple and Virginia Council, and Acorn Social and Savings Club. Survivors included her husband, Clarence Watkins; a brother, Moses Wright of Norfolk; three sisters-in-law and other relatives. Police said that Mrs. Wright was struck by a car operated by Pvt. Donald A. Serevay, 24, of Ft. Story, while she was crossing Shore drive at the western end of Lesner bridge.
