Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, April 26, 1994 
Inez Cason Watkins, 93, of the 500 block of East Liberty St., beloved mother,
grandmother and friend, died Friday, April 22, 1994, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Watkins was born in Norfolk. She retired from Liberty Park Day Nursery in
1968 and was a graduate of Wilberforce University. She was a member of St. John
A.M.E. Church and its Willing Workers and was past matron of the Adeline Ward
Chapter of Eastern Star. She was the widow of John C. Watkins Sr.

Survivors include three daughters, Sarah W. Pruden, Camille E. Watkins and
Barbara L. Watkins, all of Norfolk; two sons, John C. Watkins Jr. of Virginia
Beach and Phillip E. Watkins of Camden, N.J.; 16 grandchildren; 30
great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one nephew, Leroy Cason of
Norfolk.

A funeral service will be held at noon Thursday at St. John A.M.E. Church by the
Rev. I.W. Knight Sr. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The body will be
placed in the church at 10 a.m. Thursday. Graves Funeral Home is handling
arrangements. Friends may join the family at 3572 Westminster Ave.
