Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, June 5, 2001 
CHESAPEAKE - Sharon Canzater Watkins departed this life Monday, May 28, 2001, at
her residence. Born in Norfolk, she was the oldest of two children born to
Canzater Benson and the late Willie Benson. Sharon graduated from Booker T.
Washington High School and attended Norfolk State University. She worked for
Bayside Hospital for many years.

Survivors include her husband, Harrell E. Watkins Sr.; a son, Harrell E. Watkins
Jr. and daughter-in-law, Monica D. Watkins of Dumfries, Va.; a sister, Beverly
Benson of Norfolk; a mother, Canzater Benson of Norfolk; an aunt, Elsie Smith of
Norfolk; and a host of aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held at noon Thursday at Hale Funeral Home Chapel, Norfolk.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The family will receive friends at 4707
Rutledge Road, Chesapeake, VA 23320.
