Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Monday, March 1, 1999 
Mary E. Watkins of the 2200 block of Marshall Ave. departed this life Thursday,
Feb. 25, 1999, at her residence.

A native of Norfolk, she was the widow of Morrell Watkins III and the daughter
of the late Mary and Leonard Washington Sr. She retired from Dixie Manufacturing
Co. after 28 years of service. Mrs. Watkins was a lifelong member of Jerusalem
Baptist Church of Norfolk.

Survivors include four sons, Harrell E. Watkins Sr. of Chesapeake, Raymond
Watkins and Wesley L. Watkins of Norfolk, Roland Watkins of Arlington, Va.; a
grandson, Harrell E. Watkins Jr. of Woodbridge, Va.; a very special person who
was like a daughter, Dorothy Robertson; and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws,
other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday in Jerusalem Baptist Church by the
Rev. H. Carlyle Church Jr. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The family will
receive friends at 2209 Marshall Ave., Norfolk. Hale Funeral Home is in charge.
