EMPORIA — Terry E. (Bud) Watson, 84, of 200 Weaver Ave, a native of Emporia and 
former resident of Portsmouth, died Thursday in a convalescent center.
He was a retired textile-mill laborer.
Survivors include two daughters, Edith W. Gower of Chesapeake and Jean W. Thompson 
of Norfolk; a son, Charles Watson of Portsmouth; a brother, L. J. Watson of 
Arlington; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Norfolk, by the 
Rev. Thornton M. Frye. Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth, has charge of 
arrangements.
