Fred fell dead on lower Chapel street on Jan. 4 following a lingering illness of several months. His funeral was held at the Hale Funeral Chapel. A native of Raleigh, NC, he came to this city with his parents when 11 years of age. He was a popular member of Eureka Lodge, Inc. He is survived by a brother, John Watson of 607 Cumberland street, also two nieces and nephew.
