She was a native of Norfolk and the widow of Nathaniel Watson Sr. She graduated from the former Norfolk Mission College. She was a lifelong member of St. John's A.M.E. Church and the Lindenwood Fellowship Group. She was a past worthy matron of Margeret Francis Chapter 101, Order of the Eastern Star, P.H.A. of Virginia. She leaves to mourn a son, Nathaniel Watson Jr.; a cousin, Eliza H. Jones; and a special friend, Virginia Demmons. She was predeceased by two sons, Ernest and William Watson. A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in St. John's A.M.E. Church, 545 E. Bute St., by the Rev. L.S. Hinton. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Viewing will be Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. at Riddick Funeral Service.
