Albert Watson, 77, died Feb. 17, 2001, in a local nursing home.

Mr. Watson was a native of Norfolk and the son of the late Rev. and Mrs. Jessie
Watson. His sister, Mary Rasberry, predeceased him on Jan. 2, 2001.

He was a member of St. John Baptist Church in Arlington, Va. He graduated from
Booker T. Washington, Norfolk, in 1944; attended the City College in New York
and received an associates degree from Howard University in electrical
engineering in 1953.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Annabelle Rowe Watson of
Forestville; loving sister, Ophelia N. Blount of Norfolk; and a host of cousins,
nephews, nieces and friends.

A church service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First United
Presbyterian Church, 745 E. 29th St, Norfolk, with his nephew, the Rev. Victor
Rasberry of New York, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery , Norfolk.
The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Ophelia N. Blount,
6330 Whittier Drive, Norfolk. The procession to the church will also be from her
home. Graves Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
