Norfolk - A funeral service for the Rev. Jesse Watson of 6330 Whittier drive was 
held Tuesday in First United Presbyterian Church. The Rev. J. O. Wynn delivered 
the eulogy. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery with Graves Funeral Home in 
charge. He died May 30 in a hospital.

A native of Lawrence,NC,he was a son of the late David Watson and Mrs. Mary 
Watson and the widower of Mrs. Virginia Watson. He was a former assistant pastor 
of United Christian Church.

The Rev. Mr. Watson is survived by two sons, Jess Watson Jr. of Norfolk and 
Albert Watson of Washington; two daughters, Mrs. Ophelia Blount of Norfolk and 
Mrs. Mary Rasberry of Portsmouth; two brothers, Berry Watson of Newtonville, NJ 
and David Watson of Baltimore; a sister, Mrs. Beulah Johnson of Lawrence; 10 
grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
