Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, April 28, 2002 
Nathaniel Watson, formerly of Summit Avenue, died peacefully April 24, 2002, at
Norfolk Health Care Center. Mr. Watson was a native of Norfolk and the son of
the late Nathaniel Sr. and Carrie Riddick Watson.

Mr. Watson retired from NationsBank. He was a member of St. John AME Church,
devoted countless hours as a scout leader in the former Chesapeake Chapter, Boy
Scouts of America, was a member of the Eastern Light No. 4 Masonic Lodge, Prince
Hall, Alpha & Omega Consistory No. 9 and a member of Arabia Temple No. 12 and
the Sons of Norfolk.

He will be sorely missed by the many friends he met over the years in scouting
and Masonry. A special thanks to Virginia Demmons for the care and attention
given during his illness.

A funeral will be conducted Tuesday at noon at St. John AME Church, 545 E. Bute
St., with the Rev. Larry Hinton officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery
. Viewing will be Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Riddick Funeral Service, where
friends will be received from 7 to 8 p.m.
