            ELLEN F. WATT, 88, WAS TEACHER FOR 45 YEARS IN NORFOLK

Ellen Farant Watt, 88, of 930 Spotswood Ave., Apt. C-4, a teacher in Norfolk for 
45 years, died Monday in a hospital.
Ms. Watt taught second grade at Lafayette and Gatewood Elementary Schools. She 
retired in 1963.
A Norfolk native, Ms. Watt was a member of the National Association of Retired 
Teachers and St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include four cousins, Selina C. Rhoades and Elizabeth Simmons, both of 
Norfolk, Gloria Montan of San Diego and Sewell Chattaway of Florida.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church 
by the Rev. Charles A. Joy.  Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
The family will be at 1729 W. 49th St. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, 
is handling arrangements.
