The Virginian Pilot Tuesday March 20, 1962
Garrett Watters. 78, of 1002 Spotswood Ave., vice president and secretary of 
Watters & Martin, Inc., wholesale hardware firm, died Monday at 7:30 p.m. in a 
Norfolk hospital.
A lifelong resident of Norfolk, he was the husband of Mrs. Ena C. Watters and a 
son of James H. and Mrs. Margaret Garrett Watters.
He was graduated from University of Virginia in 1905.
He was a member of Epworth Methodist Church and Norfolk Elks Lodge 38.
Besides his widow, surviving are a stepson, Charles M. Collier Jr. of Norfolk; 
a brother, James H. Watters of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Mrs. Martha C. 
Griffiths of Pottstown, Pa., and Miss Margaret Watters and Miss Elizabeth 
Watters of Norfolk; and four grandchildren.
The body was taken to H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments.
