Norfolk Virginian Pilot Friday December 15, 1944

 
Miss Alice Watters, aged 94 years, daughter of the late James and Agnes 
Delaney Watters, a native and life-long resident of Norfolk, died at 8:45 
o’clock yesterday morning at the residence, 3023 Racine Avenue. Surviving 
are three nieces, Mrs. William Griffiths, Philadelphia, Pa., and the Misses 
Margaret and Elizabeth Watters, of Norfolk; two nephews Garrett Watters, of 
Norfolk and James H. Watters, of Chicago, Ill. Services will be held at the 
chapel of the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Saturday afternoon at 3:30 
o’clock, with the Rev. T. E. Landis pastor of First Methodist Church, 
officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery
