NORFOLK - Clarence Thomas Way, 62, of 977 Newell Ave., the husband of Mrs. 
Gertrude Scott Way and a son of Joseph and Mrs. Mary Ellen Dwyer Way, died Monday 
at 2:05 p.m. in a hospital.
A native of Kansas City, Mo., he lived here 10 1/2 years. He was a self-employed 
real estate salesman, and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Besides his 
widow, survivors include two sons, Clarence T. Way Jr. of Santa Ana, Calif., and 
Robert O. Way of Kansas City, Mo.; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Lou Gavert of 
Parkville, Md., and Mrs. Mary Ellen Scott of Denver, Colo.
The body was taken to H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk.

WAY, CLARENCE THOMAS - At a local hospital, Monday, May 30th, at 2:05 p.m., 
CLARENCE THOMAS, husband of Mrs. Gertrude Scott Way and son of the late Joseph and 
Mrs. Mary Ellen Dwyer Way, in the 63rd year of his age. Rosary services at the H. 
D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services at Holy 
Trinity Catholic Church, Friday at 10 a.m. Friends of the family are invited to 
attend. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery.
