Webb, former patrolman of the Norfolk Police Department, died Saturday morning at 11:40 o'clock at his home, 1217 Highland Avenue, at the age of 53 years. While a patrolman on the police force, he was injured about the head during a raid in Berkley more than a year ago and he never fully recovered from the effects of the blow on the head with a club. Mr. Webb resigned from the police force and was working at Bush Bluff, when he was taken suddenly ill and died Saturday morning. During his career as policeman he was brave and fearless and won the admiration of the department for his courage. He was widely acquainted in Norfolk and had a host of friends here. He is survived by his wife and one son, Hillary W. Webb. He was a member of the Norfolk Aerie of Eagles. The funeral will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock.
