The Norfolk Virginian Pilot March 3, 1937
Mrs. Veledia Constance Webb, aged 82, widow of William Robert Webb and daughter 
of Thomas H. and Mrs. Vandalia Davis, died at the Lydia H. Roper Home yesterday 
afternoon at 1:50 o'clock. Mrs. Webb was a native and lifelong resident of 
Norfolk, and for the past 11 years had resided at the Lydia H. Roper Home. She 
is survived by one son, W.B. Webb; a granddaughter, Miss Virginia Webb, both of 
Richmond, and one niece, Mrs. Harry Brown, of Norfolk. Services will be held at 
H.D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 610-12 East Freemason street, tomorrow 
morning at 11 o'clock, with the Rev. C.M. Gordon, pastor of the First Christian 
Church (Disciples) of which Mrs. Webb was a member, officiating. Interment will 
be in Elmwood Cemetery.
