Joseph C. Webb, 80, of the 400 block of Dauphin Lane died Dec. 21, 1999, after a
long illness.

Born in Norfolk, Mr. Webb was a retired assistant principal from the Chesapeake
School System after 30 years. He was a lifelong member of Bank Street Memorial
Baptist Church and a member of the Lambda Omega Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi
Fraternity for 50 years.

He is survived by three daughters, Marguerite and Cynthia of Virginia Beach, and
Karen of West Chester, Pa.; a son, Douglas and his wife, Tina, of
Charlottesville; two sisters, Eunice Brown of Norfolk and Gladys Anderson of
Virginia Beach; six grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Bank Street Memorial Baptist
Church by the Rev. Dr. Cedric Kirkland-Harris. Interment will be in Calvary
Cemetery . Memorial service by the Lambda Omega Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi
will be held Sunday at 6 p.m. immediately followed by a viewing from 7 to 9 p.m.
at Graves Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Monday.

Memorial donations may be made to the United Negro Fund or Bank Street Memorial
Baptist Church
