Norfolk - James Lee Webb, Sr., 88, passed away on November 7, 2015. Born in 
O'Toole, WV, he was the son of the late Walter Greene Webb, Sr. and Hester Hurd 
Webb. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy for over 26 years, retiring as a Senior 
Chief Petty Officer. He loved golf, playing cards and watching sports. He was a 
loving spouse, father and grandfather; his family always came first. Left to 
cherish his memory are his loving wife of 66 years, Irene E. Webb; children, Kay 
Webb Harrison & husband George, James L. Webb Jr., Paula W. Evans & husband Bud, 
Peter J. Webb, and Helen Webb Anspach; 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 
sisters, Beverly and Gale; best friend and golfing partner, Jess; along with 
extended family and friends.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Lake Taylor for their 
compassionate care of James. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown 
Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015, from 11 a.m. to 
12 p.m. The funeral will be conducted at 12 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home 
chapel. Entombment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Condolences may be offered
