He was a longtime resident of Norfolk until 2000 when he relocated to Charlotte, N.C., with family because of failing health. Mr. Webster retired from Local 1248 of the International Longshoreman Association in Norfolk in 1973. He was born to the late Joseph and Mary Webster in Princess Anne County. His wife, Lillie Mae Webster, predeceased him. He is survived by four sons, W. Reginald Mazingo (Roberta) and Paul Webster (Sandra) of Charlotte, N.C., Robert Webster of Norfolk and Jonas DeWitt Webster of State College, Pa.; a daughter, Patricia Cowan of Charlotte; two brothers, Samuel Webster (Dorothy) of Norfolk and Simon Webster (Mildred) of Chesapeake; a sister, Pearl Person (Byrd) of Washington, D.C.; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. A funeral will be held Monday at noon at New Mount Zion Church of God Holiness, 1042 Philpotts Road, Norfolk, with burial in Calvary Cemetery . Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Graves Funeral Service, Norfolk, and from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at the church.
