Norfolk Virginian Pilot May 17, 1936  

Mrs. Annie Gertrude Weeks, aged 26, of 1507 Liberty Street, died yesterday 
morning at Martinsville, after a brief illness.  Mrs. Weeks was a native of 
East Lake, N.C. and had made her home in this section 13 years.  She was a 
daughter of Courda Lee Creef and the late Effie (Affie) Caroline Basnight 
Creef and wife of Herman Edward Weeks.  Besides her father and husband, she 
is survived by one daughter, Miss Martha Caroline Weeks; four sisters, Mrs. 
Grover White, Miss Armedia (Armeta) Creef and Miss Elsie Creef, of this 
section and Mrs. Rowland Allen, Back Bay, Princess Anne County and three 
brothers, Arthur and Arvin Creef, of this section and Alvin Creef, of 
Elizabeth City, N.C.
The body will arrive at the Graham Funeral Home, Jackson and Jefferson 
Streets, this morning at 7 o'clock  where funeral services will be conducted 
Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock.  Burial will be in the family plot in 
Magnolia Cemetery.
