The Norfolk Virginian Pilot June 5, 1948
Mrs. Eva Knowles Weil, 69, wife of Amzi Weil, died at her residence, 2532 
Harrell Avenue, last night at 7:30 o'clock.
Besides her husband, she is survived by four nieces, Mrs. Jerome Proctor, Mrs. 
Harry Denno and Mrs. Archie Seay, of Norfolk, and Mrs. Lane Norman, of Miami, 
and a nephew, Daniel C. Dozier, of Norfolk.
Mrs. Weil was a lifelong resident of Norfolk, daughter of the late Daniel K. 
and Mary Ellen Knowles. She was a member of Epworth Methodist Church.
Private funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home 
tomorrow at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
