Virginian-Pilot April 14, 1900
Mrs. Hannorah Welch, for sixty years a resident of Norfolk, died at her home, No. 
17 Virginia street, at 1 o’clock a.m. yesterday. The deceased was the widow of the 
late John Welch, and is survived by one sister, Mrs. Margaret O’Keefe; a brother, 
Mr. Edward Ahern; and two sons, Mr. John J. Burke and Mr. William Welch, of this 
city. Her funeral will be solemnized from St. Mary’s Catholic Church, of which she 
was a consistent member, at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon.
